The weekly exercises for this course commence after the first mid-term exams. Each week, students are required to answer a questionnaire and write a short essay. Both the questionnaire and the essay focus on the subjects discussed during the week’s lectures. Some questions also require reading the corresponding chapters in the textbook. The exercises must be done individually.
The basic idea in grading the exercises is that you have to do some to pass the course, doing well is rewarded well in the final grade, and a bit sloppy attempt is not rewarded at all, but brings your grade down and may make you fail the course.
The maximum points earned from the weekly exercises is 40p. The weekly exercises are composed of essays and questionnaires. Both of these types can earn you 20p. The minimum points for the weekly exercises is 20p. There are 6 rounds of weekly exercises, and each of these rounds may earn you the same amount of points (ie. 40/6 points per week).
DO NOT COPY TEXT FOR YOUR ESSAY. YOU MUST WRITE IT YOURSELF. If we discover that you have copied even parts of the text in a submitted essay from a source, you will automatically fail the whole course. In addition, the case will be handled in a manner similar to cheating in an exam. This means that you might even be expelled from TKK if you cheat on the exercises.
