Global Software Development - Towards an Agile and Lean Future

Software Business and Engineering Institute (SoberIT) of Helsinki University of Technology organizes a seminar presenting the newest research findings and latest trends on how to manage globally distributed software development projects. During the seminar the experts from IBM, Gapgemini, and Vaisala discuss their experiences and future expectations on global software development. Our special theme is: How to apply agile development methods to globally distributed projects? In the seminar we will publish a new practical workbook aimed at managers of distributed projects: “Practical Guide to Managing Distributed SWD Projects”.

The project started in January 2007 and is planned to end by March 2010. Funding is provided by the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation and the participating companies.
