Jarno received his MSc (Eng) at Helsinki University of
Technology (HUT) in 2003 on key product strategy decisions in small
software product businesses. Before SEMS, Jarno worked together
with Jari and Kristian in the LUCOS research project on NPD
controllability headed by prof. Casper Lassenius. Jarno has also
participated in various teaching activities at HUT between ’99
and ’02. |

Mika is an enthusiastic programmer with several years of experience from both the industry and subsequently at HUT (’01- ). Currently, Mika is working on an approach to help with software product evolution from the perspective of code quality for his MSc (Eng) thesis. Mika has also participated in various teaching during his work at HUT. |

Juha received his MSc (Eng) at HUT in 2001 and is currently
working on his DSc (Tech) degree on practical quality assurance for
small software development teams. Before joining SEMS in Summer '02 he
worked in a small SW team developing software products in co-operation
with other development teams in the USA and Italy. |

Kristian received his MSc (Eng) at HUT in 1996 and is
currently working on his DSc (Tech) degree on how to manage software
product development in SMEs. He has been teaching software processes at
HUT since 1998 and his research interests include software processes
and software engineering management. |

Mikko Rusama, Mikko received his MSc (Eng) at HUT in 2003, and has background from the mobile telecommunications and gaming industry. His interests include entrepreneurship, agile development processes for SMEs, open-source tools supporting such processes, and business strategies and models, especially in the telecommunications domain. |

Jari received his MSc (Eng) at HUT in 1997 and is currently
doing research on agile methodologies, and acting as teacher-in-charge
of Software Project course at HUT. During the recent years he has
worked on a toolset for NPD measurement (Lucos
Tools) and acted as teacher-in-charge of SW Configuration
Management course (2cr) at HUT. Though nowadays Jari does not code for
work as much as he used to, he has a strong background as a programmer. |

Shosta is professor of computer science at HUT since 1980. He received his MSc (Eng) and DSc (Tech) degrees from HUT. He is a member of board and advisory committees in a number of high-tech companies. He has been a member of the European IT Prize Committee since 1997. He has published numerous articles on different areas of computer science and its applications in industry in areas relating to electronic publishing, computer supported collaborative work, and product data management. |
