Work

I work currently at Wärtsilä as Development manager of SAP Basis and Integration Services. I still keep an active connection to TKK by means of collaboration and visiting lectures. I am also always interested in good M.Sc. workers with a strong software engineering/enterprise IT background

I defended my thesis 29th of October 2007 on "E-Business Framework Enabled B2B Integration". The opponent, Prof. Robert Glushko has recommended to pass me and granted me right to use the title document engineer.

Research Interests

• B2B integration & Interoperability. XML-based e-business frameworks. XML applications and related technologies.
• Industrial applications of semantic web and web services.

Hobbies and Interests

I am into all sorts of team sports like football. I enjoy also running short races (18-21 km) for keeping fit. In addition, I have visited also gym more and less frequently during past few months. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my wife.

During my vacation I like travelling around. I also worked abroad from November 2005 to August 2006 in Ireland at DERI Galway. In November/December 2007 we visited Argentina and Chile with my wife. Also Italy is close to my heart as close relatives are living there.
